In an era where much of our lives unfold online, the issue of safeguarding our personal information has become increasingly critical. In a recent video, an anonymous user highlights this issue by revealing how our personal data is constantly collected, used, and sometimes exploited without our consent.<\/p>\n

Imagine a stranger having access to your name, age, address, and even photos of you \u2013 that’s the reality we face. Through our smartphones, we inadvertently disclose this information to websites, apps, and companies without even realizing it.<\/p>\n

Yet, awareness of the disclosure of our personal data does not seem to match the stakes. Companies collect this data to sell it for advertising purposes, for example, but they also build detailed profiles of our digital identities, often without our informed consent.<\/p>\n

One approach is to use a virtual private network (VPN) to mask our IP address and encrypt our browsing data.
